The media library

Updated September 9, 2026

Assets is the organization's shared media library. Anything uploaded here is available to every game, version and variant the organization owns — upload a logo once and reach it from every playable.

Uploading

Open Assets and drop files in, or use Upload. Images, video, audio, fonts, 3D models and other files are accepted. You can pick the folder to upload into at the same time.

Folders

Folders are for finding things, not for permissions — everyone in the organization sees the whole library either way. Create them with New folder; they nest.

Deleting a folder does not delete its assets. They move back to the root ("All"), so nothing is ever lost by tidying up. That is why a folder deletion is immediate and has no Trash step: there is nothing to recover.

Using an asset

In the Customization Engine, open the Asset panel and pick the slot you want to replace. The picker browses this library. Assets can also be localized — see Localizing a variant.

Storage quota

Every organization has a storage allowance. The Assets page shows the allowance alongside what is used and what is left, split into two numbers that matter for different reasons:

  • In the library — live assets you can see and use.
  • In the Trash — assets you deleted whose bytes have not been reclaimed yet.

Deleting an asset does not free space immediately. The bytes are held until the retention window closes, because until then the asset is still restorable. This is why the quota can look full when the library looks half empty.

An upload that would take you over the quota is refused before it starts, with the amount of space left.

Freeing space

  1. Empty the relevant items from Settings → Trash — permanently deleting a trashed asset reclaims its bytes straight away.
  2. Delete assets you no longer use from the library, then purge them.
  3. Upload right-sized files. A playable has to be small enough for the ad networks anyway, so a 4000px source texture helps nobody.
